Treasure in the Dust

January 18, 2011

We had some of my favorite weather in San Clemente this past weekend. It was sunny but cool with a light ocean breeze…the kind of weather that warms your bones and gives you goosebumps at the same time. The locals were out and about and I visited two of my favorite shops in town: a second-hand bookshop and a local thrift store. I’m always amazed at the treasure you can find in small and dusty places if you look with a discerning eye.

1. Fluted glass bowl with gold leafed edge

2. Teal Aynsley Bone China tea cup with gold filigree

3. Set of two authentic Milk Glass candle holders.

What great finds! You always manage to find treasures that others wouldn’t notice. The teacup is my favorite by the way 🙂
